I went out one day sat in my blind till it was almost dark and this big whitetail popped out of the bush in front of me he was about 12 yards from me and walking away so i tryed to shoot him in the neck.
I didnt want to shoot him in the head because he had head gear and you will see in my pics why i didnt shoot him in the head but i got the shot off with me trusty 30-30 and down he went he is the biggest buck ive ever shot ive yet to get him scored but I will thank for reading my story.

In 95′ shortly after I had turned eight years old my father borrowed a gun from a good friend who was at the time a conservation officer. After I had gotten used to it we went to Scottsboro, Alabama with a few friends for one of my first deer hunts. Read and comment on the rest of this story »

I live in Wisconsin where we have an overabundance of deer. In Wisconsin we have three gun hunting seasons, early antlerless, regular season and late antlerless. During the regular season in November this year we had unusually warm temperatures which topped of in the 60s and deer don’t move very well around here in that weather. After 9 days of the worst pushing and shoving through the thickest cover and only turning out one small nubbin buck our regular season had came to an end. Then came late season antlerless, We don’t normally hunt this season but wanted to put a little more venison in the freezer.
